@Nemesis2K Looks great, runs great, and a metric BOATLOAD of content at launch. This is what all $70 games should be. GOTY contender for sure, even though a racing game being nominated is already an uphill battle.

I am sooo hyped to stream Forza Horizon 6 tonight!! My stream/podcast co-host got his racing wheel and we are ready to hit the streets of Japan. I can see myself playing and creating content for this game long-term. I'd love to connect with other racing creators, so hit me up!

@1_kingdom_ I've learned a TON from videos, having some helpful friends, and by playing. I just want to play people around my skill level. Getting matched with much more experienced players feels like 99% frustration, 1% learning (the lesson learned is to wait to play when rank resets 😬).

@HelloPresto Youre in a really good spot forsure! Having a solid team is a big part and youre already set! For the rest its honestly just experience. User preference on whether you brute force it with playing or quizzes/games to learn like the type chart, just think marathon vs sprint.

This is actually really good advice if you either struggled in certain tiers or just hated meta!! Play your daily/some casuals and relax or hop on showdown and teambuild for a bit! Theres so many ways to stay in vgc mindset but not slog through ranked d1!
Presto | The Nintendads Podcast@HelloPresto

Note to self: wait at least a few days when Ranked resets. Getting stomped game after game by Masterball-level players making their way through Pokeball tier sucks.

@1_kingdom_ This is more or less the team I fell in love with and have been playing. My main struggle is team preview / knowing how to adapt because I don't have the type chart memorized. But when it works, it feels great!

@HelloPresto Yea teambuilding is one of the harder parts of the game. I would say build "backwards" and tweak existing teams to see why stuff works/doesnt. Making a fresh team is like a blank canvas: amazing when you have an idea, but overwhelming when you're improving specific skills.

@1_kingdom_ Yeah I'll give it a few days before jumping back in. I'd like to experiment with teambuilding, but I'm still very new to Pokemon and playing outside the staples of the meta feels pretty punishing. I'm eager for a regulation reset at this point.

@HelloPresto Yea im not sure why they abandoned the old reset system. It used to drop MB down equivalent to GB1 so there was a little staggering before you ended up back with people who hadn't climbed yet. Its rough but definitely dont let it spoil the fun parts!

This short review pretty much checks all the boxes for me! FH6 is feeling like the racing game I've always wanted. The ONE feature I still want added is Clubs you can create and join with friends!

Forza Horizon 6 review and impressions after 30+ hours. ▫️ Best Forza Horizon game ever made ▫️ Story is a BIG improvement, it actually feels like you're working your way up the ranks ▫️ Japan exceeded the hype, best open world to date ▫️ More to do, more to find, and more to create ▫️ Audio and sound design was one of the biggest improvements. It's not just the engine audio. It's the directional audio. Racing down tunnels sounds simply incredible, especially with multiple cars beside you. ▫️ Visual density has been greatly increased. Gone are the wide open deserts and fields - there are towns, villages, ports, mountains, forests, and much more. Massive improvement in this regard. ▫️ Graphics are a moderate, but noticeable improvement over FH5. From the trailers they looked similar, but in person I can definitely see a difference. Lighting is probably the biggest upgrade but the roads, foliage, and more also look notably better ▫️ PC version has RT reflections and RTGI during gameplay. It's a transformative upgrade, but still looks great without it. I actually decided to turn it off for 4K to get a higher frame rate. ▫️ No issues with performance ▫️ Gameplay and overall feel of driving is more realistic but still 'fun'. Each car feels distinct and handles differently. ▫️ Massive open world with tons of single player content, and all of it was fun and seamless. There really weren't any events I didn't enjoy! ▫️ Wide range of customization and accessibility options that you can tweak to your liking ▫️ Over 550 cars to unlock. They don't throw them at you quite as fast as FH5 which is good. ▫️ Each region has Treasure Cars where you're sent a photo and have to find the rare car at that location. It's like the Barnyard Finds, but better (those are still in the game too!). ▫️ Each region now has mascots you can smash, in addition to XP boards ▫️ Rewards include new cars, credits, customization options, and more ▫️ Biggest complaint is that NPC density still could be higher, especially in the Tokyo City area. I understand it's for performance reasons, but seeing sparsely populated streets and sidewalks in the heart of Tokyo feels unrealistic and immersion breaking. I consider this a minor nitpick though, not a huge deal. ▫️ Loading times are faster across the board. Fast travel, menus, and loading into the game. ▫️ Fast travel has been made completely free as long as you've been there once ▫️ Soundtrack is actually solid! Definitely better than FH5 and 4. Good amount of real world, licensed songs, and a dedicated J-Pop station. There's a lot more I could say about Forza Horizon 6, but long story short it's FUN. I did not want to put the game down during this review period. Playground has addressed nearly every point of feedback coming off of Forza Horizon 4 and 5. The long awaited Japan setting exceeds expectations, with a gorgeous open world packed with things to do and vistas to see. Tokyo City is massive, and feels incredible to drive through, especially during those Street Races at night. The story actually feels like a real story, as you work your way up from an unknown driver to a Horizon Legend. If you're a Forza Horizon fan, this is a day one no question. And the great thing about this series - you don't have to know a thing about cars to have a good time. Forza Horizon 6 makes that easy. Final Score: 9.5/10 (still in progress) Playtime: 25 hours Platform: PC Thanks to @Xbox for providing review access. #ForzaHorizon6 #Forza #ForzaHorizon
