Heard they added a voucher to the St Patty's Day and Egg Hunt cards in MLB The Show. This after selling packs with Jackie Robinson on them for a collection making money off his likeness. Small moves with scummy perceived intent add up. You HAVE to do better, @MLBTheShow.

@MillsTwitch I’d like something where each pitcher has an arsenal so to speak but can pick which 5 to take into each game. Say I’m playing in Coors, I might take more moving fastballs or changeups and throw less of my sliders or curves. Would add a fun layer to the game

At some point MLB The Show is going to have to find a way to allow pitchers to throw more than 5 pitches. More pitchers than ever have gone to a deeper repertoire - need the game to evolve with that.

@MillsTwitch Spytek and Kubiak have both been talking a lot about wanting Mendoza to sit, even in negations with Kirk (allegedly), so I’m thinking that’s the plan. Also Kirk is such a good QB in terms of play style to act as a mentor for Mendoza. I love this move so much

LOVE this by the Raiders for one specific reason: It (hopefully) gives Fernando Mendoza a chance to sit to start Year 1 and actually learn/develop as a QB at the NFL level. That's a setup for success. Really hope that's the purpose here.

@MillsTwitch It's really sad how much disparity there is between the Show's offline card collecting mode and almost every other sports title. Like you said, it really just feels like it's bottom of the totem pole for these other titles, but it's a much higher priority for SDS

A lot of the issues are just in lack of love: - Rosters haven't changed much on CPU powered teams - No abilities assigned - Difficulty levels still not selectable to cater to a wider audience. It's crazy how well MLB The Show blows this out of the water for offline.

Well, I tried to enjoy MUT as an offline player coming back for S5: - Built a Ravens TT - Solo Seasons is too easy - Solo Champions is too easy - New Event is on Arcade and...too easy They still don't know how to create engaging offline content. Sigh. *Shuts off Madden*

@MillsTwitch Gotta love the corporate response of "you're the only one having the issue, so we can't do much." Even though they acknowledge the issue and that it needs fixed. Sorry you're dealing with that, I hope they can find a resolution.

So new tech came out: He 100% saw packet loss (about 2%) at the node. The problem is I do SO MUCH more Upload than anyone else at my tap (or in my area) he has no idea what they're going to do (because it's isn't 'affecting' anyone else). Gonna give it the weekend, but ugh.

Long post inbound. We need to talk about the #Madden26 Abilities before it's too late. I get that they went to a probability-based ability structure this year. But, as EA tends to do, they overcorrected and are in their "play the game for a couple months and then let us know" mode. From my experience, that is followed by the "we're on to developing 27 and your feedback is noted" response. And I understand. Resources are finite. So let's have the convo. Now. Not later. -- I'm all for a reduction of the success rates in abilities from last year to this year. I just talked about how I hate how abilities and X-Factors turn MUT into a crapshoot (especially in the late cycle) just last night. But I'm going to tell you right now that there is ZERO SHOT that KOs are probability balanced whatsoever, as per EA's deep dive blog. KOs even working half of the time would be a very welcome addition. The base game CIT rates underneath on check downs in traffic are absolutely absurd, and that's before we talk about the "aggressive catch or dropped pick simulator" 35+ yards downfield that we're being forced to play right now. --- Today, I overhauled everything on defense to test new items out with the increased AP. I rocked 3 KOs underneath, and 2 items with Lurk Artist/Pick Artist. After the stream, I went back and quickly scanned today's defensive reps and calculated what I determined to be "knockout worthy throws" - these are throws into a phone booth with a WR and a DB, NOT throws where the WR has a step and is contacted after getting a step and a half down. What I'm reporting is not embellishment. 1 for 12 - or 8.33% on KOs. Could it have been a bad luck day? Sure. But that's exceedingly low, even on a bad day. Pick Artist/Lurk Artist lit up 1x in 10 throws today - 10% - and the only time it did was on a flat footed catch that would have 100% been intercepted without the ability (I cut the route off clean with my user for a 1 man catch animation). --- This is a misrepresentation of the system they promised us in the Deep Dive blog that we were all so excited about. We all know the game is ability driven, love that fact or not. You cannot have this game giving up 8% KO rates when aggs and CIT have been overcorrected from M25 to this. This needs patched. So MLB The Show: If you're going to add THIS many collections to the game, you can't treat packs like you used to when it was Grind 99. I HATE talking pack odds - but if we're going to get awful drops you need to raise them for collection prices. It's time.
