Students do not leave our words in the classroom.
Feedback, redirection, encouragement, and everyday conversations can gradually shape how they speak to themselves when work becomes difficult.
A student who learns to respond to mistakes with curiosity instead of shame is better prepared to reflect, adjust, and continue.
Kind self-talk is not the absence of accountability. It allows students to face challenges without making every struggle a judgment about who they are.
