Nobody is angry about the degree, I'm even congratulating her on completing a very difficult course. However, using that as a get out of jail free card is an appeal to authority. Is science a religion? No. Religion relies on dogma, science should be based on the proposition of ideas, independent testing of thesa ideas and proving if it does or does not meet your proposal. The very core of science is two disagreements, a discourse and testing to see which is right. Let's say for example that I also have the same degree, then who would be right? The point made is I am doing a degree therefore I am right, that in itself does not mean someone is right. No need for anyone to be riled up, we're just having a discussion. Look at Steve Jobbs, Jack Dorisey etc, all very smart and wealthy people from it, none of them have a formal education in their field.
