The Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire (German: Reichskrone) is a distinctive hoop crown (Bügelkrone) with an octagonal design. It served as the coronation crown of the Holy Roman Emperors, likely from the late 10th century until the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806. The crown was also used in the coronation of the King of the Romans, the title adopted by the emperor-elect immediately following his election.
