@leofcb1107 @iMiaSanMia Karl would be starting if he were at Stuttgart. I'm not opposed to starting Leweling. Bayern's got Olise, Kane, Musiala & Diaz in attack, of course it's going to be difficult to find a starting position yet more than half the time he starts anyways.
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia regular starter, but sitting on the bench for 90 minutes in the important games, yeah, makes sense to put the best players on the bench in big games, karl is not ready yet to make it to the starting11, it will eather be musiala or leweling at the wc
English

Nagelsmann asked what are the sporting arguments based on which Leroy Sané keeps getting chances: "The arguments are that we need 1v1 players, we don't have that many of them, though there are alternatives. Games like the one against Slovakia are the benchmark for Leroy. He should always reach that level. The last game against Switzerland was okay, not really good and not very bad. Leroy knows what's needed of him and he has to show it. In the end we'll decide what's best for the squad. There are certain profiles we have to have in order to be able to face different styles of play. We don't have many players who can take on opponents on the right wing. Lenny [Karl] did very well, but we have to consider how long he can play and how stable he will remain. Jamie Leweling can also play there, but is currently injured. Hopefully we can make the right decision in two months"

English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia Germany needs some width, but I thought Karl produced plenty of that against Switzerland. He also was quick to recover and defend, something which helps out since Kimmich inverts into the middle. Leweling would also work out since he is really composed. Sané's been finished.
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia all of them are w similar playstyle, i believe germany needs one fast, 1v1 winger like leweling or sane in the attack as well. Just like bayern has diaz/olise so the attack wouldnt be too predictable
English

@AdlerNews @J__Nagelsmann I'd personally take Mittelstädt at LB for some composure but I like what I saw when Brown kept Yamal in check in the UCL
English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia it was a mistake, he's not a regular starter but starts quite often. Also look at FCB x PSV, he started on the right wing with Musiala in the center and they combined to score a goal. Let's see that at the World Cup + Wirtz on the left and they could be tricky to play against
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia thats strange I remember you calling him a regular starter
English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia oh no there's no hope for me because I suggested that 52% of starts in a competitive squad is impressive for na 18 year old
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia Take a breather and read my last reply again. If you still cant understand what I’m talking about or what did I reply to then theres no hope for you ://
English

@GermanTalents We better not see a repetition of the same midfield duo since they're half of why the defense looked so bad. And like you said, starting Brown MIGHT be a step in the right direction.
English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia 52% of the time he's in the starting 11, not always a starter but that's still a lot for a rookie. He's 18, the fuck do you expect?
Someone here genuinely thinks Sané belongs on the right wing but I'm the dumb one XD
And if I'm dumb how come I need to correct your grammar?
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia you’re either mentally challanged or just that dumb. You were the one who said that kids a regular in bayern and I clearly stated that he isnt even close to this.. now youre talking why its hard for him to be a regular 😭😭
English

@Dr_EsOs @rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia I'm praying that we don't see Musiala on the right wing, having zero natural wingers will mean zero width + fullbacks playing as wingers + central midfield congestion. Leweling is good with + against the ball. Karl is the way to go, Moose starts in the center + Wirtz on the left
English

@Henb0if @rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia What Nagelsmann is saying sounds alot like Sane is option #4 after Musiala, Leweling AnD Karl for RW.
Also Karl has only played 90mins. 3 times this season at senior level. He literally has a point abut minutes for an 18 yo.
English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia *great* sample size and also he started many matches before that
Youngest player to score in 3 consecutive UCL matches + he's in a competitive squad, of course getting minutes regularly is difficult. Like I said, stop watching highlights on Jerkmate and maybe look at his impact
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia kompany literally had to adress the drop off in media and say its part of the development but yeah.
Grear sample size, shows your understaning. He was only a starter cuz others were rested/suspended btw
English

@rimOpinion @iMiaSanMia he started in the last 3 Bundesliga matches & his drop in form wasn't even that bad, he's just not delivering the same stats but he looked good against Switzerland. I can't see Sané dribbling like that.
English

@Henb0if @iMiaSanMia it seems like you’re not watching football at all, i suggest to start at highlights at leas. On what world is Karl regular starter lmao. His game time and his performances have massively dropped after the good stint he had. There hasnt been a time when he was a “regular” 😭
English

@Pikaro20203135 @Fraudmmich @LauJul_DE @colefcbm even if he scored there this guy would be hating, it's all he does
English

@Fraudmmich @Henb0if @LauJul_DE @colefcbm Füllkrug was subbed in in the 80th minute. Not exactly sure what you were expecting.
English

@hbrooks_coach Well my favorite lineup is the 3-5-2 because
- Easy passing at the back makes buildup easier
- 3 central midfielders gives control in the center of the pitch
- Wingbacks cover crosses from out wide
- 2 strikers = no isolation up front
- Good against counter attacks
English

When did football become so obsessed with having 5 players occupy the backline?
It so often leads to a straight line, with the forward line pinched in, no angles to play with so far easier to force a team away from goal.
Never understand that obsession and still don’t. More players on thr last line doesn’t make you more attacking or more progressive.
You need to be able to get in behind in one pass, but you need to be able to work the ball forward up the pitch with lots of variety and possibilities.
Players also need way more coaching from young at how to occupy space, not positions, and how to find space, not everything to be to feet.
If you only willing to receive to feet where you are, you massively narrow you own gap to find you. If you as a player and team are willing to move into space, carry into space, pass into space, the pitch is simply far bigger.
It’s obvious. Freeze frame any moment in a game. Now remove all the players and replace them with a circle the circumference the size of the player. You’re asking everyone to be pretty damn precise if those tiny spots on a massive pitch are the only areas you’re willing to find - which in essence is largely what you’re asking by being obsessed with strict positional play to feet with not much wriggle room.
Then look at the rest of the pitch (where the opposition players are included) and see how much space there actually is.
There is always space. But people have been gaslight into thinking there isn’t becuase coaches become obsessed with telling players from young where to be , where to stand, where to pass, not to move etc.

America’s population is 349 million people and they can't even produce 11 good footballers to compete in football.
Absolutely pathetic

Amadou Onana's first international goal for Belgium turns it around 🇧🇪
English

@M10Update It was very one-sided. Argentina led 2-0 at the 80th minute, anyone with a brain would know that Argentina would win. Then Mbappé carried his team towards the end. It just felt like 120 minutes of Argentina dominating followed by Mbappé having a couple moments of magic.
