Barnet Council will once again be operating a Passover waste collection service along 300+ roads. Residents on other streets can book a collection by 25th March. There will also be 6 skip collections on 1st April. More details at barnet.gov.uk/pesach-collect…

This past weekend marked the 85th anniversary of Hendon’s most devastating attack in WWII. On 13 Feb 1941 a German bomber flew over Hendon and dropped a 2,400kg bomb on Ravenstone Road (today part of the West Hendon estate). We remember the 85 residents killed and 150+ injured.

A mix of freezing temperatures and heavy rain has created serious potholes and water leaks, notably on Bell Lane, Parson Street and Brampton Grove/The Burroughs. We've reported them to Barnet Highways (and Thames Water where relevant), who are working to repair them ASAP.

Since this message was posted, I’ve received >130 emails relating to broken/dirty pavements, fly tipping, potholes etc. Repairs have been carried out or ordered for Brent Green, Finchley Lane, Great North Way, Green Walk, Shirehall Close, Shirehall Park and West Avenue. 1/3

Residents frequently complain about the state of the roads in Hendon, with potholes being the main offenders. I’m proud to confirm that this year Alexandra Rd, Church Rd, Church Terrace, POW Cl & Queens Rd have all been repaired. Let me know if your road needs resurfacing!
