@jonluckett @JoeMullinax Don’t think the rule should stand for trades already made. But the rule makes sense for future trades. A clever team that knows it won’t get full value from using its own pick, could still choose to tank, knowing that it could just trade the high pick for value.

@JoeMullinax They just need to add a provision that a team can't have its own pick land in the top 5 three consecutive years. Enforcing it on picks you've acquired via trade does nothing to prevent or incentivize tanking.

@CrumpledJumper Will be interesting to see if that slows down a little this season with Iisalo’s offense properly implemented. Still wants the team playing fast, but a pnr heavier offense without the circle/slashing/everybody-eats system should be a little slower and less turnover prone.

I’ll hear out some high-upside outcomes for Ace. I will not hear out KD as a comp. Think it’s totally unfair to Ace, frankly. KD was in a different stratosphere than just about anyone as a player. Completely different deal.

Main difference on KD/Bailey: KD was 6-9 w/ 7-5 wingspan at combine, uses every inch on his jumper w/ his incredibly high release point. Ace is 6-7.5 w/ 7-0 wingspan KD has some of best coordination I’ve seen to get pull up from different angles on-balance. Ace doesn’t have that

Some thoughts on the correct Ace Bailey/Kevin Durant comp: I don’t understand the push back. Lots of draft analysts have said it. KD has said he agrees. Great prospects (which Ace is) get compared to great players Zion got compared to Charles Barkley Anthony Edwards got compared to Dwyane Wade Wiggins got compared to Kobe Bryant KD was compared to TMac and Dirk Cooper Flagg is being compared to Scottie Pippen, Khawi Leonard and Jayson Tatum It happens in all sports. Jihaad Campbell is being compared to Micah Parsons and Fred Warner. Durant weaknesses coming out of Texas was listed as needing to put on weight, work on his dribble and work on his passing. Same as Ace. Durant’s strengths were his length and ability to score over defenders. Same as Ace. Maybe Ace won’t be KD. Maybe he will be. Who knows. But the fact a player that the Sixers could get is being compared to KD should make Sixers fans really excited. #AceThePick
