@WhoPotterVian @bagshaw2112 Trouble is, he has nothing to say.

@bagshaw2112 Keir Starmer because he has one thing the others don't: he's a fantastic public speaker. You can tell he used to be a barrister.

@Keir_Starmer What are you going to DO about it?
No one is interested in what you haven’t done?!

These are tough results for Labour. There’s no sugarcoating it. We’ve lost brilliant Labour representatives who’ve stood up for their communities.
People are still frustrated. Their lives aren’t changing fast enough. We haven’t offered enough hope or optimism for the future.
I was elected to change this country - tough days like this don’t weaken my determination to do that. They strengthen it.

Indeed. 👇
And then they say we ‘select’ kids.
We don’t. It would be illegal.
What we do, on so many levels, is do what others will not do.
We work hard. So do our kids.
From September of year 7.
That’s why our kids know more and are better people, and become adults one can admire and respect.
That’s why 1000 ppl visit us every year- to see what seems to be a miracle. Sign up on the website for a visit!
Michaela isn’t a miracle. It is simply the result of hard decisions and hard work.
It is doing what’s right, even when difficult, especially when difficult.
Those who hate us aren’t up to the task.
Those of you who quietly listen, wondering what to think - ignore those who fail time and time again and refuse to learn from those who succeed.
You don’t have to be like them.
Think differently.
Be the change you want to see in the world.

I’m finding the horrified reactions to this letter from the ‘be kind’ brigade revealing. Michaela gets extraordinary results for a deprived cohort, which should be applauded. What’s kinder, allowing kids to flounder, or being honest about what success entails, and demanding pupils make sacrifices to achieve the best outcomes they possibly can

@hb_history Students at Michaela and their parents should feel blessed to be at such a good school that cares so much about their progress and prospects.

C!s lesbian woman called “sir” by restaurant staff and blocked from using toilet. This is gender critical in action. This is what @bphillipsonMP is bringing to Britain. This is what ✌️’women’s rights’ ✌️ campaigner JK Rowling is cheering. outsports.com/2025/5/21/2411…

Sex Matters call themselves a charity.
But look at what they actually do.
They don’t just “raise questions.”
They produce lobbying materials.
They coordinate pressure on politicians.
They intervene in law, healthcare, education and now European human rights policy.
That is not neutral.
That is organised advocacy.
Their central claim is always the same.
“Sex is clear. The law confirms it. Debate over.”
But that only works if people don’t understand how law works.
Courts interpret words inside specific legislation for specific purposes.
They are not defining biology.
They are not settling science.
They are not simplifying human reality into a slogan.
Sex Matters take those rulings and stretch them far beyond their scope.
A legal definition becomes a universal truth.
A policy choice becomes “reality.”
Everything else gets dismissed as ideology.
That is not clarity.
It is category error.
Real-world systems already recognise complexity.
Medicine does.
Psychology does.
Human rights law does.
Because human beings are not one variable.
Sex matters.
Gender exists.
Both are used differently depending on context.
If your entire argument depends on collapsing those distinctions, the problem is not the world.
It is the argument.
And when that argument is used to influence policy, including around practices that have been widely condemned for harm, it deserves scrutiny.
Charities are supposed to serve the public.
Not simplify it until it breaks.

Sex Matters is NOT a charity @ChtyCommission . They are a Right Wing culture wars lobby group based on Tufton Street.
All they do is promote hate. They are the antithesis of a charity.
Their standing needs to be revoked. Makes a mockery of the whole concept.
