We're in for wet weather this week, especially Tuesday through the Memorial Day weekend. We could easily get 2"+ of rain across SE LA & SW MS. Higher rain amounts are expected across north/central Louisiana and Texas. #Louisiana #Mississippi #rain #storms

The threat of showers and isolated thunderstorms continues this afternoon through early evening. A few storms may become strong and capable of producing gusty winds and brief heavy downpours.

Rain this Memorial Day weekend? The Climate Prediction Center has a moderate risk for heavy rain on Sunday, May 24. This isn't a guarantee of flooding, but an indication of rain that may impact your outdoor plans over the holiday weekend. #LAwx #MSwx

The heavy rain last week really put a damper on the drought. The majority of the Baton Rouge metro area is no longer abnormally dry. Portions of southwest Mississippi, the northern Florida Parishes and Gonzales on southward saw improvements in their drought conditions as well.
