I was called to this poor Gull trapped by a hook & fishing line to a Road barrier in a lake Abbey Park Leicester. with help from LCC @Leicester_News he was rescued, After removal of the hook at the vets he’s recovering well in😊🙏🏾@RSPCA_official #litterKills

Today I celebrate 25yrs as a @RSPCA_official Inspector. 🎉 I couldn’t count how many animals I have saved & Rescued in that time but it’s been a privilege every single time. ☺️ 🙏🏾 #ProudMoment #HereForTheAnimals 🐶🐱🐰🐴🦆

Some of the animals I’ve helped have a brighter future.. It’s been a Dog, Cat & Chicken week. It’s always nice to know that you’ve improved the lives of both the Animals and their Humans 🐶🐱🐓@RSPCA_official 🙏🏾☺️

Today, we lost the senior member of our pack today. A dog who i saw being mistreated as a 4 month old pup. I paid the shitbag £40 to take him, and he joined my family. An absolute gentleman of a dog with his kind and gentle nature. He reached the ripe old age of 15, not that it makes the loss of him any easier, but at least it was a life full of love. I'll miss that nudge off his cold nose when he wanted a fuss. Sleep peacefully, Norris xx

I’ve noted this before, the heartbreaking placing of the paws neatly on the tail. But I think another reason I find it so is the back story. Zelda was my parents cat and after my mum died and my dad got dementia she still got fed - but ended up not getting much attention in the house and living semi-feral in the garden. Where she would’ve learned this as a way of stopping her paws from freezing on the ground when it’s cold. It’s not cold on our table. But it still adds to the poignancy.

Dealt with these lovely dogs today who have come into @RSPCA_official care to help the owner out. Time for a bit of calm & cuddles before a chk up at the Vets & some much needed medication. 🐶🥰🙏🏾

Collected this cat today & took her for a vet chk.. she was really scared yesterday when I picked her up.. but today she’s a different cat … calm & affectionate. ☺️ Had a puppy cuddle whilst waiting my turn.. Great therapy for the mind & Soul. Cheered me up! 🥰 @RSPCA_official
