I’ve addressed this before, but it seems to keep resurfacing on my timeline. I could support Pride Day…people should celebrate what matters to them, and nearly everything else gets its own day. However, I don’t believe it warrants an entire month. Veterans, on the other hand, absolutely deserve at least that much. How many have fought and died for this country? How many returned with severe physical injuries or deep psychological scars like PTSD? Some, like those who served in Vietnam, were even spat upon by their fellow citizens upon returning home. They are the ones who truly deserve a full month of recognition.
