Hermes has now been officially deregistered. Despite the short run (since launch on Jan 15), it was incredible to build in an ecosystem with such passion and feedback. It genuinely revitalised our belief in blockchain communities. Operating without the 4-month immunity period made things especially challenging. We’re grateful to @YumaGroup for the opportunity to build here. Thank you to everyone who was part of the journey 🪽

This is not the outcome we’d hoped for. But as always, we want to be upfront with the community. Hermes is next in line for deregistration, and we don’t see a clear path out of the position we’re in. With that in mind, we want to give you advance notice that in 8 hours’ time, we will be liquidating our alpha holdings to cover operational expenses incurred since launch. Up until now, these costs have been covered out of pocket, and we have not previously sold any alpha. We’re sharing this ahead of time because we’ve always tried to lead with transparency, especially in moments like this. We understand the weight of this update and deeply appreciate everyone who has supported us along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. We’ve truly valued the ride and only wish it could have gone on longer. - Hermes Team 🪽

Bittensor | $TAO It’s sad that a strong subnet like @HermesSubnet, with a real consumer-ready product, is at risk of deregistration. Meanwhile, some subnets offer nothing more than a Discord channel where people say GM all day, with no real product or value. Hermes is a subnet that should not be deregistered, and I think the community should keep pushing that message until it is off the list. They’re not only independent now, they’re also building a product people can actually use, the Hermes Pilot agent. Hermes is moving from being just a crypto data subnet to becoming a super agent for understanding and navigating crypto. With Hermes Pilot, users don't need to jump between multiple dashboards or dApps. They could simply: > speak to the agent in plain English, ask questions like “has my portfolio changed”, and get accurate answers in real time. > other autonomous agents could also use Hermes Pilot to pull real-time data and make smarter decisions. The point is this is a consumer-ready product for people on bittensor and beyond. It’s a stronger product. It can attract more users, generate more revenue, and create real value. Isn’t that what should define the best subnet?

$TAO Subnet - Today we spoke with Brittany from Subnet 82, @HermesSubnet. They’ve just reshaped the project and are now launching Hermes Pilot. Below are the questions I asked. The answers are in the video. After watching, tell me what you think. I’ve been talking with many people across the ecosystem, and there’s more content like this coming very soon. Outsider: Hello Brittany, how are you? Today we’re here to talk with you about some interesting and relevant changes happening in Subnet 82, Hermes. I understand that you’re pivoting from a GraphQL-focused infrastructure approach toward Hermes Pilot, an agent designed for the broader crypto environment and ready to interact with both people and other agents. That seems to bring Hermes closer to potential revenue generation. On the other hand, you’ll now be operating in a space with established competitors like Nansen, Arkham, and Dune. How do you plan to differentiate Hermes and reach users in this competitive landscape? Once Hermes starts building a customer base and generating revenue, is there a plan for how part of that value could flow back to the subnet? And finally, just as important, what are your plans to avoid disruption from a possible deregistration scenario, and why should I, and the broader Bittensor community, consider investing in Hermes alpha today?

There’s a quiet shift happening in crypto UX. For years, tools gave you more data and called it progress. @HermesSubnet (SN82) looked at that and said: “What if less data… but better answers?” With Hermes Pilot, the product isn’t a dashboard. It’s closer to a decision engine. Not: → charts → tables → endless metrics But: → “Should I trade here?” → “What changed in this wallet?” → “Is this risky?” And you just get an answer. The unexpected part? It’s not just built for you. It’s built for other agents too. Meaning the same system you use… is also being used by bots before they act. So while you’re thinking: “Let me check a few things…” Your agent is already like: “Already checked. Here’s the move.” Which leads to a slightly uncomfortable realization: we’re slowly outsourcing “thinking” in crypto Hermes doesn’t remove complexity. It just hides it behind something simple: questions. And instead of APIs or dashboards, everything is packaged as “skills” real-world scenarios that actually solve something If this direction works, crypto tools won’t look like tools anymore. They’ll look like: interfaces that tell you what matters. Not louder. Not flashier. Just less guessing

Autonomous agents are executing blind because dashboards weren't built for them. That's the fragmentation tax. Humans pay it in time and missed signals. Agents pay it by scraping interfaces built for human eyes, or worse, executing blind. @HermesSubnet built Hermes Pilot to consolidate the layer. Ask in natural language, get the answer. Query programmatically if you're an agent. Same intelligence underneath. The pivot that made this work: Hermes stopped selling the indexing engine and started selling the interface to it. From how it works to what it enables. In practice that means risk checks before you execute a trade. Cross-chain portfolio rebalancing. Wallet alerts when tracked addresses move capital. Fraud detection on suspicious transaction patterns. Scenario-based answers for the question you're actually asking, not raw data you still have to interpret. Hermes Pilot doesn't make you smarter at reading dashboards. It makes the dashboards irrelevant.

Let’s address Hermes directly. Yes, the subnet is under pressure. But we’ve already taken action, and we’re building something much bigger. Hermes Pilot changes everything. Full update in 60 seconds ⬇️

Hermes SN82 Update A transparent update on where we stand AND what comes next. The Situation Hermes has recently dropped to the lower end of the Bittensor subnet rankings following a sharp move in alpha price. On Bittensor, only 128 subnets can exist at once. When full, the lowest EMA alpha subnet is removed as new ones register. We’re aware of where we sit. We’re also clear on what needs to happen next. What’s Changed Over the past few weeks, Hermes has gone through two major shifts: • We are now fully independent • We’ve pivoted toward the Hermes Pilot agent This isn’t just infrastructure anymore. It’s a product direction. Hermes Pilot is a crypto super-agent: → One interface to understand and act across crypto → Powered by competitive intelligence from SN82 miners → Designed for both users and autonomous agents SN82 becomes the optimization layer behind a real, user-facing system. What You Can Expect (Short-Term Execution) We’re not standing still, here’s what’s already in motion: • An updated roadmap reflecting the Hermes Pilot direction • A new partnership announcement before month-end • Miner mechanic updates (already announced) to better reflect contribution + reduce sell pressure This is about aligning emissions, incentives, and product growth. Positioning Forward We’re focused on building something people actually use AND ensuring the subnet reflects that value. Short-term volatility doesn’t change the direction. It just compresses the timeline. If You Want to Support Staking TAO into SN82 validators directly impacts our alpha price and subnet position. That support gives us more room to execute.. and we intend to use it. We’re building. We’re adjusting. And we’re not done. — Hermes Team 🪽

Hermes Subnet 82 Update We’ve temporarily increased miner burn to 100%. The upcoming subnet upgrade will redefine the miner role, and current emissions no longer reflect network value. As a result, emissions are paused until the new model is live, with deregistration pressure as an additional factor. We’ll restore emissions once the upgrade is complete.

For those that like to gamble. Medium to high risk - But Team is working on. This will send if they pull it off. I bought into the dip last night.

Hey @TaoOutsider we'd really appreciate your support, keen to chat any time. We're super excited about what we're building especially with our recent shift to the Hermes Pilot agent which will be a super agent answering any questions on crypto & blockchain for Humans and agents to act on. Sadly we've taken a price hit recently and we're at risk of deregistration. We have some plans to move out of the danger zone but we're also putting a call out to the community to put their faith in us so we can continue to build and ship out the super agent.

$TAO Subnets - I won’t be recommending subnets to study over the next few weeks. Instead, I’ll be listening to as many people as possible across the ecosystem and sharing what I learn with you here. Like I said before, I’m here with you. Just keep in mind I still have to split my time between this and the companies that actually pay my bills, so don’t expect a daily newspaper. I’ll do my best. Stay tuned.

In case you are not aware @HermesSubnet just changed the game for crypto AI. Most crypto tools make you jump between multiple dashboards to get one answer. Hermes Pilot fixes that ; one place, plain English, done. Ask it anything: > “Is my portfolio at risk?" > “Check liquidity on this token" > “Flag any suspicious wallet activity" It answers. It acts. No explorer tabs. No manual digging. Interestingly Hermes was built for two forms of users; 1. Humans who want clarity . 2. AI agents that need reliable data before they trade or move funds. Miners in SN82 compete daily to make every answer sharper. This means the more people use it, the smarter it gets. Alpha holders get free daily access. Builders get a clean intelligence layer to plug into. Everyone is a winner This isn't just an upgrade , This is completely new role. From backend data pipe to the front door of the agent economy. Thumbs up to the @HermesSubnet team. SN82 just became something worth watching.

.@HermesSubnet subnet 82 is shifting their vision. They're now building a SUPER AGENT for crypto. This helps solve one of the biggest crypto frustrations: Managing a crypto portfolio is a mess. You have to jump between different blockchains, wallets, and dashboards. And god forbit you make a mistake and lose your 🍑 Hermes' Solution: The "Pilot" > instead of navigating the different tech interfaces, the "Pilot" or agent, does it for you. > all this happens on one interface > outcome focused: example: "where is my money and what are the risks?" Sine Hermes operates on Bittensor $TAO, miners, through competition, provide continuous improvement to provide the best data and information logic. Additionally, this "Pilot" super agent isn't just for humans - other agents can use as well. This is like building a SIRI or ALEXA of crypto. I'll be watching this subnet transformation take place. Wish them luck.
