@Paleonut_ We're highly concerned out at the lake. Some trails, if it's 100 at the trailhead, it's 120 in the canyon slots. Usually means there will be rescues and possibly fatalities 🥺

Went to Badwater Basin, Death Valley NP. Was there volunteering. Helped the Timbisha Shoshone tribe plant 100 honey mesquite trees. Saw Lake Manly. Wanted to see the superbloom but was too crowded and I was super tired

A drunk Canadian tourist kidnapped a live flamingo named "Peachy" from the Flamingo Las Vegas wildlife habitat yesterday. Mitchell Fairbarn, 33, allegedly broke into the habitat Tuesday morning and injured several birds before trying to carry Peachy to his hotel room.

Dave's Hot Chicken, Fallout meal. Asked them to substitute with cauliflower. Got 2 meals. Non-spicy. Asked for the sauce on the side. They threw it all over the cauliflower. Not horribly spicy but used ranch to take the heat down. 👍👍

Everyone is intrigued by the idea of New Year, New Beginnings. I know I am.
2025 was such a bleak time for so many people. The idea of a reset, of starting over is extraordinarily appealing.
The truth is, it’s never too late to start over. Each day is a new beginning. But the fact that so many people are collectively surging towards a bright New Year makes us feel we’re all in this together.

Dropped off the car at the shop. Took a 38 minute bike ride back to the house. Makes me think back to when myself and my friends use to ride our bikes everywhere to get around. Now coffee and food😃

@Paleonut_ I had no idea how expensive trees are 😳 Home Depot starts at $80. Tree stand $44. I'm using a bucket, soil, rocks, and water. Things I have at the house. I'll post a pic once it's decorated. Early Merry Christmas to you and your fam!!!

Through the kindness of a stranger, I was bestowed a Christmas tree. Figure out the stand and decorations tomorrow. Wasn't even on my list this year. Going outside since I have cats. Plus, I don't want needles in the house. I always have people gift me stuff. I'm blessed!
