🔥✅ 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒚 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝑩𝒂𝒏 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒅 Hernando County Fire Rescue has seen a reduced number of brush fire responses as well as adequate precipitation accumulations resulting in a drop in the Keetch-Byram Drought Index. As a result, the burn ban has been lifted county wide. Citizens are free to burn within the setbacks and regulations set forth by the Florida Forest Service. @FFS_Withlacooch

Monday morning, 2/23/26 just before 8:30am, Engine 3 responded to the intersection of Coronado Drive and Drayton Drive in Spring Hill for a vehicle fire. Engine 3 arrived on scene to find a fully involved mini van. Thankfully, all occupants were able to safely exit the vehicle prior to firefighters arrival. After the crew quickly extinguished the fire, the cause was determined to be from mechanical issues. No injuries were reported.
