It’s a shame that great minds of the last century so often passed off their theological ignorance as profundity. The world was made worse off by it and is now paying the price.

Its so tiresome that the unstated conclusion of all these insipid posts is "unlike me and my faction where we encourage you to post hitler edits and talk about how much you love cunny and how cool getting fucked in your thighs by Peter Theil is" It's this stupid tongue in cheek obvious lie that only works on someone who got here yesterday. They think it's so cheeky and clever. It boring and gay.

An unexpected side effect that travelling abroad in Greece had for my knowledge of the Classics was a better understanding of Aristophanes. Famously he used the onomatopoeia Βρεκεκέξ ("brekekekex") for the chorus of "The Frogs". In the ruins of ancient Dion, I heard them:

@strawberrytoki Anything can be used for either good purposes or bad ones. The few upsides of it is being able to use it in ways that stimulate the imagination and are historically accurate. I am not a luddite. But you can have your opinion.

@Trvth292843 Yes, her descriptions in ancient sources and depictions in art range from brown hair and eyes to light brown/auburn. I gave her light brown hair due to her and Persephone's associations with earth, the harvest, and wheat, important for the majority neolithic farmer a. Greeks.

esotericism is *not* grimoires, secret rites, rituals, mantras, oathbound mumbo jumbo it's noticing something so obvious once seen, but that somehow your mind always looks for in the wrong place; like a drunk looking for the keys where the light is; not where he dropped them

I learned at 18 that one must have something to hide from friends, from lovers. Give them your full being and they may destroy your full being. For this, a million secret safe beings spread across the net. For this, ALIVE GIRL. I am a woman of my times.

The Western civilization was built on three pillars: Greek philosophy, Roman laws & Christian values. Everyone wants to live in what our ancestors built & this is exactly what makes the West the greatest. Now, if you don’t fight to protect those three pillars, you will disappear.

All the garish reconstructions of ancient statues are due to the set of people who are: (a) experts in ancient Greek polychromy, (b) good artists themselves, (c) have the most advanced tools, and (d) the time to apply themselves is vanishingly small. 1/2

Yes ancient statues were painted but are we quite sure they were as awful and garish as the reconstructions make them out to be

People who are good with words are capable of great evil. They can make bad things sound desirable, and good things sound undesirable. They can bend entire perceptions of reality through nothing but the assortment of symbols which form words with associated meanings and then order those meanings which create pictures and beliefs that form your perception. If I said mastery of language was a type of wizardry, be it the misuse of it which is illusion, or the proper use of it, which is revelation, I would not be lying. Framing is little more than intention serving agenda applied to language to direct perception. This is why if you are a person who is good with words, it is important you do not misuse your gift to enslave lesser minds, by elegantly articulating falsehoods that serve you but are not true and thus undivine. This means you as a person who is good with words have a responsibility to yourself not to deceive yourself, because if you are prone to deceive yourself you will surely misuse your gift to deceive others. Of course there are multiple forms of magic. Being able to use mathematics to calculate how to build things that can do otherwise impossible things through the medium of technology is a type of magic. Tell your ancestors you are looking at a glowing rectangle where a man from a distant land speaks to you, and they would call that magic. They would be right to. It is. Magic is illusion, magic is revelation through enlightenment, and magic is also manipulating the properties of reality through devices to make the impossible possible. I have no point for saying any of this other than the fact that I felt like it and I wanted to!
