My dad passed away last night. We hadn’t spoken in 7 years. He abused me as a kid. The fallout from that shaped a lot of my life. Therapy. Trauma work. Years of rebuilding. Still… it’s sad. And it’s complicated. I’m not grieving the relationship we had. I’m grieving the one we didn’t get to have.

Requesting prayers for my family, my stepmom has only hours left until she is called home. Glory to God.
