"Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" (1975) Baldemar Huerta first recorded this back in 1959, but it barely made a dent. Cut it again in 1975, it took off, hitting No. 1 on the country chart and crossing over to pop. Do you remember his stage name?x.com/calmalgodown/s…

Chances are that if you weren’t born between 1976- 1989, you will acknowledge that LeBron is better

Most people don't know this.
Mountain Dew began in the late 1940s in Knoxville, Tennessee.
It was not created as a soda.
It was made as a mixer for whiskey.
Barney and Ally Hartman, bottlers, were looking for a drink that paired well with homemade liquor.
They created a citrus blend and named it after a slang term for moonshine: Mountain Dew.
At first, it stayed regional, bottled locally, and sold in small quantities across the South.
Then in 1964, Pepsi-Cola purchased the formula.
Production scaled. Distribution expanded.
What started as a whiskey mixer became a national soft drink.
