I AM SORRY FOR NOT SPEAKING UP.
and thank you for everyone tagging me and bringing this to my attention, i do believe heavily in holding your friends accountable, and content creators are a part of that sphere!! i wouldn't have it any other way.
my comments had nothing to do with her apology, in all honesty I didn't read it, and I didnt care to. im distancing myself HEAVILY from everyone that was involved in that drama. I feel they all acted horridly and I want legit nothing to do with that.
my comments were only about the community notes, which have since been removed, but said something along the lines of "this is all fake, shes lying, and this is a pr stunt"
while it may be true, I am not judge nor jury on the situation, i just didnt think its fair that community notes should tell the reader that this post FOR SURE is fake and bad. I think its a bad precedent to set, and I think people should be able to come to their own conclusions themselves.
I can understand how it looks like I am defending her, but really I wanted people to understand that just because you have behaved poorly in the past, does not mean you cant change and rectify your bad decisions in the present. whether you believe it or not is up to you.
ive spoken that way about so many creators in the past during overwatch as well; seeker, chase, etc. I really believe in kindness and allowing individuals to show they have changed and grown. even necros, it is the same.
anyways.. lots of words later to say, I am sorry. I dont know if ashlynn has legitimately changed, i have zero stakes in her life, but I just wanted to make sure people could view the drama through a lense of kindness before judging.
i hadn't seen before her talking about drama farming, and while i think at some point most creators do engage with drama for this purpose, I think the way she went about it was absolutely not right.
for myself, i know a lot of people are disappointed i never spoke out about the kingsman situation (on twitter). i had viewed this kingsman drama as very.. highschool in of itself, and didnt see a reason to be involved initially. it seemed the rest of the community was handling it, and i was still pretty nervous to tweet anything accusatory after being called a "drama farmer" just a few weeks prior with necros. I was trying to keep my head down.
i see now that the lack of response from me was bad. I am one of the biggest women creators within the rivals sphere, and in this instance a lot of individuals look to me to hold other women accountable. I failed here, and I apologize deeply.
cece, zazza, and luci made a ton of fuck ups in the past week, so many that people are claiming they "set women back in gaming." i dont know if thats true, but I do know that i do not tolerate bullying in any capacity. their actions are legit inexcusable. i myself have not forgiven them, and i dont expect anyone else to either. its your own choice based on your own feelings.
i am glad @Kingsman265MR is getting the recognition he deserves!! its hard making it in the content creator world, and even being a rank 1 player guarantees you nothing. it makes me very happy to see a good player be valued in that way.
thank you for reading, again i apologize for my inaction, it won't happen again.
