This morning, @BCNPHA #HousingCentral went on a tour! We took a group to Heather Place, one of our non-market housing redevelopments. The first new building opened in 2020 with 67 new units. A second building is under construction and a future phase will see even more new homes.

It was a pleasure to hear more about the great work happening across this space and to network with so many incredible, like-minded people! We're also grateful for the opportunity to present, alongside @HappyCitiesTeam, our shared vision for fostering social connection in multi-unit housing. @petebombaci, the founder of GenWell, reminded us that “Self-care doesn’t always need to be by yourself”'—a sentiment that resonates deeply with our work at HNC. Like Pete, we find that small acts of kindness and support from our social networks, neighbours, and even strangers can deeply impact a person’s wellbeing. That’s why our work is dedicated to creating more opportunities for those meaningful moments.
