My insurance, which previously denied my chemotherapy, has denied my radiation that was due to start in 4 hours bc I do not appear to have the amount of cancer they want me to have in order to be approved.

@chrissyfarr I had that a bit. I had media innovation in my title when working at a publisher. Felt like swimming upstream all the time and role turned to product management when I left—so again another voice to minimize risk.

Every org needs a person who's the "Risk Taker in Chief." There's so many people inside companies whose job it is to say no (legal, comms, etc.) and really no one who is incentivized to say yes. It leads to extremely low levels of risk and a lot of boring, undifferentiated output.

@BarlowAdams My friend didn’t feel comfortable enough to come out until his late 30s. This weekend some of his family and all of us friends celebrated his birthday at the best drag brunch ever. So much happiness and love in that room after a lot of tough days.

@spilledbagofice @MovieHooligan I was diagnosed at Stage 2 at 46 with no symptoms or family history. Incidence is way up with younger folks. Hope you change your mind. They have tablets now so nothing gross to drink. You’re not awake. Can’t believe I almost skipped it. Seems silly now.

In the colonoscopy waiting room and the doctor is four hours late. Everyone has fasted for a day and are pissed. Watching an entire room of people get radicalized to the point of violence.

@JoniSweet When I was a news reporter, I had a guy walk off on a golf green to get away from me. I took a few steps in heels, and it was not well received. So screaming but not technically the source. 😳

Today a source screamed at me during an interview because she thought I wasn't understanding her answers & that I should "get a new assignment." She kept yelling after I asked her to stop & I had to hang up on her. Fellow freelancers, what's your worst experience with a source?

@BLanderstyle I feel bad for Lila. They talk about gender and stereotypes so much that it’s kind of weird. Boys being about action while she’s all emotional. And they’ve talked that way since she was a baby. It’s like Zach wanted another boy or something.
