While we can't rule out a stronger storm moving through later this evening, the severe threat is diminishing. Instability just has not materialized so far this afternoon over our area. We still will get some rain though, with highest amounts focused toward the Poconos.

The greatest risk for severe thunderstorms is to our west later this afternoon. However, there remains some risk especially in eastern PA. Our risk will be from thunderstorms that develop in western/central PA and then move eastward through this evening. #pawx #njwx #mdwx #dewx

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible across the region this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and hail up to 2" in diameter will be the main threats. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out for far western portions of the area. (1/2)

The Tornado Watch is no longer in effect. Please continue to stay weather aware, especially for the potential for damaging winds later tonight with the passage of the cold front.

The tornado threat appears to be lowering, so we've started cutting back the watch from northwest to southeast. The risk still exists along and southeast of I-95 for the time being. That having been said, the front late tonight may yet produce strong damaging winds late this eve
