In order to fund these massively successful projects these guys had to do Youtube for 11 and 9 years respectively.
In the 90s they would have been hired as writers based on their talent alone. Now they have to build an entire career first, and then self-fund on a shoestring budget, all because of their skin color.

My dad likes to tell the story about how, on his eighteenth birthday, he went back to his car and the local bobby had put a note on his car saying, “Don’t drive home tonight. This is the best anti-drug video in history. In the past, drugs used to be associated with rebellious people/gangs who had to think ahead carefully about how and where they get their drugs. Some kids found that cool.
But legalization has allowed the lowest and dumbest members of society to use them. There’s nothing impressive about wasting your adult life by chronically smoking and rotting away at home.
Addiction controls their lives like chained prisoners. They can’t do any hobbies or activities because all of their plans revolve around getting their next supply of drugs to fuel their addiction.
