Why memorize the Qur’an? Because Qur’an becomes so much more enjoyable when memorized.

Sheikh al-Minshawi would not wake his family for Fajr by shaking them awake. Instead, he would wake hours before Fajr and recite Qur'an. As the time approached, he would raise his voice more and more until the entire house filled with his recitation and his family was awake

The best time to recite the Noble Quran during #Ramadan is at night. The reviewing of the Noble Quran by Nabi Muhammad (sallAllahualayhiwasallam) and Angel Jibreel (alayhissalaam) took place during Ramadan at night. The heart inclines more to ponder at this time.

Whilst reading the Quran Sharif in Salaah (and even outside Salaah) think : This is the Kalaam (speech) of my Allah – of my Beloved. By contemplating the meaning of the verses that you are reading, think : I am listening to the speech of Allah Ta’ala.

Ramadaan has a beloved – a beloved that is closely connected and attached to its heart. If you wish to befriend Ramadaan, then you must befriend its beloved. That beloved and loved one is the Noble Quran; Ramadaan loves the Quran and the Quran loves Ramadaan.

Let us not miss the opportunity that has come to us. Let Ramadan be our concern. Let our days be Ramadan. Let our nights be Ramadan. Let us become Ramadan itself. Let us enter Ramadan purified. Let us leave Ramadan purified.

Suggestions for Sha'baan to complete basics: Read a Juz a day, so atleast one Quran can be read before Ramadhaan. Keep Qadha fasts. Fast Mondays, Thursdays, and 13th, 14th and 15th. Wake up earlier to pray Tahajjud, so that it is easier to wake up for Suhur in Ramadhaan.

Haafidh means a protector but the Quraan protects the reader, no reader has ever protected the Quraan. Only in honour the reader was given the name haafidh. ~Molana Ridwaan Kajee دامت بركاته
