Baseball families, do not make a permanent decision from a temporary headline.
If athletes eventually get 5 full years from the earlier of turning 19 or graduating high school, the ripple effect could touch:
Redshirting
Post-grad years
Reclass decisions
JUCO paths
Roster spots
Transfer timing
Prep school decisions
High-academic recruiting
But the message is still the same:
Do not panic.
Do not guess.
Build the athlete.
Build the transcript.
Understand the rules.
Find the right fit.

I am beyond grateful to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Ohlone College. I’d like to thank all my coaches that have helped me, but above all, Coach Curran, Coach Rob Bruno, TJ, ONC Baseball, and Pro5 Nashville. Above all I’d like to thank my family for their continuous support. Go Renegades!

I believe baseball can open powerful academic doors for the right student-athlete.
But the path has to be honest.
Prep school is not for everyone.
A post-grad year is not for everyone.
Showcases are not magic.
College recruiting is not one-size-fits-all.
I built Coach Beede to help families slow the process down, ask better questions, and build a plan around development, academics, maturity, and fit.
I have lived this as an athlete, a college head coach, and most importantly, as a parent.

A Heartfelt Request : This book is the most personal thing I have ever written.
I wrote There’s an E at the End to honor my father and the sixteen years I had with him before he was gone. Those years shaped everything in me. They shaped how I learned to endure, how I learned to become a man too early, and later, how I learned to be a father myself.
This is a story about fathers and sons, 1970s working-class life, family, loss, baseball, grit, and the quiet code a man can leave behind without ever needing to make a speech. It is also a book about something I believe with all my heart: blood alone does not always make a family. Love does. Loyalty does. Presence does.
If you love deeply personal memoirs and would like to be considered an early reader, comment ARC or send me a message. booksirens.com/book/R9PQV25/C…
