But I will say CB is so important. Kuechly and Thomas Davis got a lot of love but prime Josh Norman was the real MVP of that defense and why we went to the SB.

@KBakesy @josephperson Didn’t answer my question. I would love to improve our DC. But is it possible? Who wants to come coach a defense with this many holes, with cap becoming an issue, and an offense that can’t sustain drives consistently and keep his defense off the field?

@HighNoonSports @josephperson Anyone with an IQ of at least 4 could. The problem with Evero is he brings along and starts worthless bums that he’s previously coached. They hold the defense back. Throw in the fact he sits in cover 3 and prevent defense while rushing 3 or 4. Drops DB in coverage.

He “improved” the worst defense in the league to be mediocre after the GM spent the entirety of the offseason focusing on the defense.

Coach Ejiro Evero improved the Carolina Panthers defense this season. A lot of people are criticizing and saying the Panthers should get a new defensive coordinator. In the words of the great Lee Corso, “not so fast my friend!”

@4ourmanrush This has been a known thing. Evero wants a set edge over pass rush. I get it on run plays but who gives a crap about a set edge when the QB has all day to throw. Only way we’re getting consistent pass rush in this scheme is if you have elite bull rushers at edge. We need a new DC
