Congratulations to HPU’s very own Tubby Smith on being inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame 👏 🗞️: shorturl.at/2pZrq Smith played at HPU from 1969-1973, was inducted into the HPU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016 and returned to his Alma mater from 2018-2022 to coach the Panthers in the final stint of his career. In his 31-years coaching at the Division I level across seven schools, he posted a record of 642-370 (.634) and won the 1998 National Championship, helping shape the game at the highest level with his performance, leadership and impact. The Class of 2026 will be formally enshrined during the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Celebration presented by UMB Private Wealth Management on Oct. 22, 2026, at the College Basketball Experience in Kansas City, Missouri. #GoHPU
