The Birmingham varsity ski team recently competed in the D-1 MHSAA state championships at Boyne Highlands. The girls' team secured 5th, while the boys finished 6th overall. Blanca Srock shined bright, taking 5th in the slalom and 11th in the giant slalom to earn all-state honors.

@gbfit_gal The bubbles are not automatic. Riders can choose if it goes down or up- manual pull straps are on each side of the bubble.

@HighlandsatHS The bubble came down automatically right after the safety bar when we rode it. Just how long do you expect those tiny plastic foot rests to last? As I said, I'll ride it once a day just to get on the mountain.

@gbfit_gal We're sorry you feel this way. Our community is very excited to bring the safest ski lift in the Midwest to our skiers and riders here in northern Michigan. The bubble is optional, not automatic, so you don't have to use it if you don't prefer.

@StormSkiJournal @HighlandsatHS That new lift is awful & a waste of $$$ for a 550 ft hill. This is not a mountain like out west or east @KillingtonMtn. The bubble goes down to the ankles, so you're trapped in with everyone's germs. I will ride it only once a day & that's just to get me on the mountain.

Is it true that @HighlandsatHS no longer offers child care? Used to see the daycare in the skier day lodge every winter when I visited

@ovation1k @StormSkiJournal Camelot 6 is the safest chairlift in the Midwest, and we welcome skiers of all abilities to ride up and experience the bubble chair! Rob Roy is accessible from Heather Express too- you can get your laps in either way.

@StormSkiJournal @HighlandsatHS Was there over the weekend. The lift is very nice but I wish that they kept a true beginner lift. Its a little annoying having beginners who just graduated from the carpet now on a key lift causing frequent stops disrupting those wanting to lap the tournaments and rob roy
