@balancingbp Seriously, I've just been through similar myself, this speaks to me! I still struggle to recognise emotions, felt weird when I started to feel calm and peaceful. You do get used to it! Sounds like you are on the right track

Am I hypomanic or just happy? 🤔 After being depressed so long it's easy to forget what it feels like to be okay. But my thoughts are racing a bit I'm struggling to record because I'm babbling on and on. 😆

@balancingbp That was always my point when I was refused housing for months, how can I recover when I don't have somewhere to call home and feel at home in. Hopefully you get in your new place soon, good luck with it

Honestly! And you never imagine it'll be you in that situation. It takes a really resilient person to get through it. I've certainly felt a shift in my mood knowing I will be safe and secure once my new home is ready 🥺 It makes a huge difference! I'm just glad we both have a home and a place we can focus on recovery, hard to do that without housing.

Sorry for not posting, I have been homeless since October (well in temp accommodation) and the council called me Monday to let me know I'd be getting the keys to my new flat on Tuesday. I've had so much to do as I need to be out of here by Tuesday and currently I have no flooring, no furniture, nothing. So this week is going to be a big renovation task for me. I haven't even packed up or cleaned anything because my motivation has been on the floor as I've had a cold. But it's good news that I'll finally have a permanent home. 🥹

@balancingbp Yeah people who take for granted having a roof over their heads don't realise how lucky they are. It played a massive part in my recovery

Thank you! I've spent the whole week trying to decorate, it's not even liveable atm so I'm at my dad's house while he's away until it's sorted. The stability of knowing it's home will help me so much, moving around the city so much is exhausting. So happy for you! It's wonderful to have a proper home 🙏💕
