It is not the first time this has happened, but today I feel compelled to speak out about how exhausting and painful it is. Today in downtown Muskoka, while sharing ice cream with my family, two strangers decided to share their hate instead. One yelled, “Hey turban head, go home,” before speeding off. Another, walking by, said, “You all should die.” In that moment, I was reminded that the fight against hate is far from over. But our strength is louder. Ontario is our home. It belongs to all of us. To my Sikh brothers and sisters, stay vigilant, stay proud, and stay strong. Hate never wins. Good will always triumph.

"Snowflake" was introduced by conservative boomers like a decade ago, to describe the left, drawing from Tyler Durden's line in Fight Club that 'you are not a delicate and unique snowflake'. This hit them where it hurt, because this was the point when they were insisting on trigger warnings to protect their fragile emotional stability from ideas that troubled them.
Lacking any power of originality and wholly incapable of theory of mind, the left then tried to appropriate 'snowflake' as an insult for the right, under the theory that 'I know your are but what am I' is an effective rhetorical technique. Yet the right never claimed to be delicate, and was indeed so committed to the fight that rightists went to incredible lengths to stay on social media in the face of censorship, account bans, doxxing, and career destruction. A group which deliberately seeks out its ideological opponents in order to engage them in debate is not by any means fragile, meaning that 'snowflake' completely fails to land.
A decade on, and the left is still repeating 'snowflake', having completely failed to notice that it has absolutely no impact on its opponents. In similar fashion they're still stamping their little feet about 'racism', having failed to apprehend that this now elicits nothing but eye rolls and sniggers.
They're a completely intellectually exhausted movement, a spent cultural force screeching hysterically at an audience shrinking faster than the congregations of the churches whose pews they emptied with rainbow liberalism.
