More and more people are being exposed for using AI art, and posting fake speed paints that show obvious signs of tracing and or signs that they are beginner and have never touched art fully.
And it’s so funny to watch them scramble to try and prove that it’s not AI

My art isn't good enough for people to steal and I know it, but I follow other creators that are, and they hate it, because there's no choice given.
It is not art, it is theft if the images they're scraping are not with permission.

I’m not totally against AI… I think it’s a useful tool but there’s no need to use it to make the vtubing space more “afordable” bc there’s tons of free assets, models, vroid exists, there’s also free mobile apps to be a vtuber too 🧵

@rebel_lore @Kumakumaduma @LunekoNekoVT Derivative and actually using the material as the source are absolutely different. If artists willingly gave their art to the machine, that's fine, use that. But SO many artists are put into AI without permission, and THAT is a problem.

People that use AI have a different skillset, but it's not art. It's prompting and knowing how to manipulate the program to generate, but it is not using something that's theirs

The AI datacenters are a real problem.
AI stealing work from unwilling artists is a real problem.
It could be addressed, but I doubt it will be any time soon.

VTuber vs the instrument
I play a ESP/LTD EC-1000 with EMG 81/85 pickups, and I've customized it a bit by replacing the bronze parts with black to match my style.

Right now, AI is not ethical from an art and environment standpoint, so I can't support it.
I'm not gonna crap on other people, but I'm not gonna support it

Look, I watch PNGtubers, the art isn't fully what makes me stay and spend time with people. There are literally free Sonic models people can use, I used an Amy one.

It doesn't take inspo from the best artists, it takes their work without their permission, which is my entire issue with the ethics of it. It should only take from willing participants. My stance on AI would change if that was addressed.

Pouring myself into this project at work, and I've done it all myself. The visuals, the text, everything. I have a meeting with my boss, and he's telling me to run it through AI to make it 'better'....
... I've spent weeks on this to try and make it what I thought it needed to be
