This is the problem with college football. 11 seasons, the class of 2026 were all in the first grade and 6, 7 or 8 years old when dude was a freshman in college. You want to fix college football, 8 to 10 semesters and that’s it

Whats wrong with college sports? It’s not NIL or the transfer portal, it’s MEN who are almost mid 20’s getting extensions to play a game meant for development of young men. We have college teams who could actually go out for a drink legally who make more than the college coaches

Coach John Calipari is absolutely spot on here. Why would a coach recruit and develop an American high school kid for 4 years when the system now rewards grabbing ready-made pros from overseas, the G League, or the NBA pipeline? If we don’t fix this, we’re killing the entire purpose of college sports.

I get being frustrated. I get missing the days where you could name your team’s starting roster in back to back years because it was the same roster. I get longing for the old school rivalries and matchups mattering because it is local kids on the team staying home playing against those rivals. I get it all. I feel you. I understand you wholeheartedly, but let’s not act like these kids are doing something wrong. We play the game because we love it but also because of the future and opportunities it brings financially and these kids aren’t doing anything but acting in a situation that is brand new ! Not just for them, but everybody involved!

Unpopular opinion: take your offer, grind it out, get your degree and then if the league ain’t calling yet then hit the portal ONE TIME! The portal shouldn’t be for guys who put they name in just as fast as a picked the school

@matt_riordan Been saying this for years. Put a 3 star at his dream school and he thrives more than the 5 star who you got because he was a 5 star. Folks got be trying to figure out where Maddie came from but his IQ been the best in the field

Just a thought Indiana football has NEVER signed a 5 star. Team is mostly made up of 3 stars and some 4 stars . Sometimes having a team full of high football IQ players can really put a great team together . Now heck yes I’d love to have a team full of 5 stars most time they are big time studs but remember those 3 star players ( Maddie ) still have more 2 prove . In Maddie’s head he is a 10 ⭐️ haha Maddie never chased ⭐️’s ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
