One of the most beautiful stories I've ever read was when a scientist discovered a new butterfly species and named it after Iryna Zarutska. The butterfly is called "Iryna's Azure." "Her name will be forever immortalized as a butterfly," he said. She will never be forgotten ❤️

@mattvanswol This new butterfly species, Iryna's Azure 👇👇 Inhabits southeastern coastal plain region of the USA, with flight season in South Carolina. It is native to this area & was recognized as a new species based on specimens from there. I photograph butterflies & may see one.
