What surprises me most is that when the entire political spectrum condemned you as a fascist, an autocrat, and a genocidal butcher of Muslims following the 2002 Gujarat riots, you remained totally unperturbed. In fact, without any prior connection with you, I used to get so upset at the use of the term fascist for you, thinking you were being maliciously targeted, that I actually undertook to investigate whether you were indeed guilty of genocidal crimes against Muslims. My one-and-a-half-year-long research in Gujarat, culminating in the publication of my book, "Modi, Muslims and Media", showed the very opposite—that you had gone out of your way to protect and pamper the Muslim community, and you helped them rapidly emerge as a prosperous group in Gujarat. Your friend Zafar Sareshwala rightly calls you a Mard-e-Mujahid, since you served the interests of the Muslim community like no other leader. And yet, I did not witness even one example of your cracking down on those who falsely accused you of being a Hindu fascist, out to crush and decimate Muslims. You seem particularly disturbed when stand-up comedians and humorists make you a target of jokes and satires. Even more than the criticism of your governance model, you are most outraged when Hindus critique you for anti-Hindu policies, while wearing the mask of Hindutva. You get into a ferocious rage if Hindus provide concrete evidence of your betrayal. The present draconian FIR filed against me on your behalf in Chandigarh has used one of my most innocuous tweets as evidence of my jeopardising "national security". The truth is that you are upset at my critiques of your mal-governance, mammoth corruption under your regime, lethal vaccination drives under the influence of the Pharma Mafia, double speak and brazen betrayal of the electoral promises you made. In my 2013 book, “Modi, Muslims and Media”, I defended you against systematic demonisation based on FALSE charges. At that time, none came forward to defend you, while I risked my academic career, made countless enemies, faced endless abuse and hostility by standing up for you. I spoke the truth in 2013-14, at great personal cost. And my critiques of your policy ever since you became PM are also driven by the same desire to "speak truth to power." Today, why are you not able to take evidence-based criticism of your regime from me and others, as gracefully as you accepted being labelled a fascist? Why not use the critical barbs being aimed at you as a professional hazard, a constitutional duty to encourage free and fair criticism of your regime?

@narendramodi Modi always advises people do or avoid doing but he never explains what the government is doing for people. Vishvaguru and Nonbiological is now having a hard time to fool people.
