The old saying, "You Mess With the Bull, You Get the Horns" certainly was in play. In a July 20th festival in Columbia where a bull is released into a ring, and spectators are encouraged to poke and tease the enraged bovine, had a slightly predictable outcome. The 2,000 pound animal launched himself into the stands, charging terrified fans. One woman was trampled, and 3 others were injured. The bull was finally subdued and led out of the stadium, while the injured were hospitalized. Sadly, each year approximately 180,000 bulls are killed worldwide in bullfights.
