It was designed to kill as fast as possible. With communist regimes the deaths came from multiple causes: famines, forced labor, purges, deportations and imprisonment. It's a dumb comparison because if the Nazis won, they would have killed just as many or way more within a short period of time. You're comparing numbers without considering the rate of killing, scope, intent and scale. Nazi holocaust was only four years. Communist deaths: 60-70 years across multiple countries.
