@shriverist Genuine question: Did you intend to paint Panamá red because of the Canal but accidentally went for Costa Rica?
English

Rare example where a high effort post dies really well, this increased my follower count by about 50%. Welcome to new ponds!

This is an extremely difficult and highly subjective task, but here's my attempt to map countries based on whether they punch above or below their weight when it comes to global culture

@shriverist Why the fuck is Costa Rica red? People only know us as a nice tourist destination at best (if they're even aware of the country's existence).
English

@sAri2BotherU Because they gave her another character's storyline. It feels racist that the black character is the only one made to look all messy when she was meant to be enjoying the high life while the white characters are always put together when they're meant to be falling apart.

English

She’s living in exile with a wild dragon THAT SHE TOOK TO WAR for fucks sake!!! She’s SHOULD look a hot mess because her circumstances are a hot mess!

@ilovesicily559 @Hercules1125_ Furthermore, in Aisha's POV chapters she expresses repeated disappointment he only views her as a sister.
(SPOILERS)
This continues till she falls in love with Rudy and Eris's son, who she elopes with. Never quite getting over her brother, she went for her nephew.
English

@ilovesicily559 @Hercules1125_ It is explicitly stated by Lilia in one of her POV chapters in the light novels. She was grateful to Rudeus, so she raised Aisha to be of service to Rudeus in any way he might want her to be, including sexually.
English

If the author could find some idiotic in series justification for it, he would have made Rudeus fuck her, and the fans would ignore it.

Who is teaching her this 😭😭

@DiogoORT2003 For real, it feels like Case Files ended and Adventures began very recently, yet it's already on volume 12...
English

Sanda is the only guy that regularly writes for FGO but can also work on his other stuff. He's genuinely built different.

@jinxsreturn @alicents_lawyer ...a bad choice. I think them being in their late teens and early 20s is important to their characters, and those ages don't come across in the show.
It also undermines the tragedy of what Heleana went through, being married to her awful brother at such a young age.
3/3
English

@jinxsreturn @alicents_lawyer ...the story is made better by making it so Alicent is a bigger victim and Rhaenyra didn't go through as much, which I disagree with.
Also, while I like Olivia as Alicent and think it was a great casting choice, I think casting actors so close to her age as her kids was...

English

In this shot especially I think you can see what genius it was to cast them this way. While Rhaenyra's kids are waist-high, and her eldest still seemed juvenile, Alicent looks out of place walking side by side with her grown children, trying to lead them
nadine@miserydayne
sometimes it hits me that alicent and helaena are peers in age like they have like a sixteen year gap that’s it

@BipolarBastard @chuddyspam @mia_apologist I'm trying to see your point in good faith and I ask that you please also try to see mine in good faith instead of stubbornly sticking to the narrative you've already decided on.

English

@chuddyspam @Hisarame @mia_apologist ...that enforces right-wing fascist policies and oppresses us domestically, exports those same policies to you abroad. Our oppression is an example of the US govt being an oppressive reactionary force, and y'all are saying we're responsible for it.

Me parece fascinante como hay una sub sección de la población afroamericana yanqui que está absolutamente convencida de que son la demografía más oprimida del planeta. Me hacen acordar a (((ellos))) en ese sentido

@catofice I was excited when I finished ADAD for the first time, as people online were saying that TWOW was likely coming soon.
That was 12 years ago.
English

@BipolarBastard @mia_apologist Cause that's not what's going on. We simply recognize that, by virtue of living in the US, you guys are more privileged than us no matter how oppressed you are in your own country and treat you with the same contempt we treat white US people when you're annoying.
English

@comicxgrl @RhaenicentLove Aemma was Visery's first cousin, so her daughter Rhaenyra would be second cousin of all of Visery's children (in addition to all the other relations).
English

@Coolcrying_2931 @KavaiMasei Okay, so if I can't legally access a book, if it's just impossible to buy it in my country no matter how much money I'm willing to pay, that means the author would never be able to make money out of me. So what does the author actually lose if I pirate it?
English

@KavaiMasei I haven't seen a single person argue otherwise. People wanting to be fairly remunerated for their work isn't stopping anyone from enjoying the arts.
