ADHD가 힘든 이유는
시끄러워서가 아니다
모순적이기 때문이다
뭐든 할 수 있을 것 같은데
정작 아무것도 못 한다
사람은 잘 이해하면서
정작 내 상태는 설명 못 한다
아이디어는 넘치는데
끝까지 해낸 건 없다
똑똑한데
메일 하나가 버겁고
사람 좋아하는데
혼자 있어야 숨이 쉰다
문제는 이걸 다 알고 있다는 것
뭘 해야 하는지 정확히 아는데도
거기까지 도달하지 못한다
그 사이에
수치심이 쌓인다
사람들이 말하지 않는 건
집중력 문제가 아니라 그 수치심이다
그리고 그건 오랫동안 조용히 남는다
하지만 기억해라
이건 성격 문제가 아니라
설명되지 않았던
뇌의 작동 방식이다
+ 이게 사람들이 ADHD를 더 별거아니게 보는 이유 중 하나라고 생각함. 말을 못하지 않음. 그러니 그냥 엉망진창으로 보임.
