Congratulations @GeorgiaFootball on your national championship! Your skill, grit, and determination show us what is possible – and how to win your school’s first title in 41 years. I’m proud of you, Bulldogs.

@MattLeinartQB totally wrong about @GeorgiaFootball Matt. 5*s don't lie. Michigan is way down the list of contenders. Float above the trees and take the emotion out of it next time. Stars matter

@ctowersajc Man, Chip, something got in my eye. It's some sort of salty discharge. I'm trying to clean it out now. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

@atlurbanist I'm glad they are revitalizing it. I haven't been in it in 24 years, but it was outdated then. The spot has always been a good location for something. I guess the sellers and the buyers just never got on the same page until recently.

@atlurbanist This is the old United Methodist Center for the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Correct, they moved their HQ out to P'tree Corners in the 90s and then to Brookhaven a few years ago.

Looks like activity has started on the conversion of a 1966 church building to apartments in Downtown. This is at Ralph McGill and Piedmont -- the structure has been empty for 20 years. Many windows were open this morning, and people were going in and out.

Driftwood Beach on Georgia's Jekyll Island is a truly unique place to visit. It's one of the most beautiful and serene places in my state, though I know few people- especially from North Georgia- who have been there. facebook.com/georgiahistory…

Augusta is Georgia's second oldest city and its second largest outside of Metro Atlanta. It was established in 1736 (3 years after Savannah) as a trading outpost on fall line of the Savannah River. For more information on this fascinating city, go: facebook.com/georgiahistory…
