HMP Maidstone has been colourful this summer with prisoners on our gardening course learning new skills and winning Maidstone in Bloom for best planted container trough or basket run by @maidstonebc and @CoolingsGC. We also came third place for community project 👏

Another positive week @HmpMaidstone comes to an end. Some of the creativity and passion we've seen has been inspiring. For many in custody, having a clear focus on a future that excites them can transform their time spent inside, and their path beyond release! #prisoneducation

We recently welcomed our education provider @MKCollege to deliver a new plastering course where prisoners gain vocational qualifications from @NOCNGroup and @cityandguilds, in partnership with @britishgypsum. These skills are vital to get our men ready for employment on release.

Well done to all our prisoners who just completed a 10-week Philosophy course, run by Philosophy in Prison and @Sheffphilosophy, via @kentlibraries. Our prisoners got stuck in to learning new life skills and made some really insightful contributions!
