I normally wouldn’t even give this the time of day, but I seriously don’t understand it.
Politics and ideology aside, America is better than this. When this kind of thing becomes normalized, sensationalized, or treated like entertainment, it says something awful about us.
We’re all flawed. We all make mistakes. But this feels beyond ordinary human error. It feels like a society losing its sense of basic decency.
