@FiruBR No longo prazo, jogos mais curtos acabariam, somados, gerando um volume de tempo extra pra essas coisas importantes que você mencionou: tempo de viagem, recuperação… afinal, 8 min na NBA devem ser uns 30+ min de vida real. São 8 min a menos de paradas, (reviews, timeouts, etc.).

@FiruBR O problema são jogadores e franquias não quererem menos jogos no calendário — que todo mundo sabe que é a solução. Então, é aquela coisa: você tem que achar um remédio (ou melhor, placebo) dentro da caixa que colocaram. E essa (independente dos motivos) parece a melhor até agora.

Make the games 40 minutes. 8 x 82 / 48 =13.667 That’s the equivalent number of games you would reduce the schedule by. Without breaking arena leases. Works for college. Works for international. Works for the WNBA. AND. If you looking at tv and streaming ratings, the less the actual playing time for a televised game, the bigger the ratings. Ie, the less time fans have to focus on a game, the more they enjoy watching it on tv
