The "end of the line" kid is NOT a caboose! Have you ever heard a kid tell you he wanted to be a line leader or caboose when he grows up?

You want to build high expectations? At the K-5 level, change all the class jobs to real world ones. "Line leader" becomes "tour guide", etc
