Join us tonight for our writing exercise meeting at 8pm in Davison 101! Paper and writing utensils will be provided, but if you have a preferred platform to write on, feel free to bring it! Our meeting will be followed by our final weekly writing workshop of the semester.

We will also be holding elections for both the president and secretary position, as well as Font staff positions for our upcoming issue of Font! These positions are a great way to build your resume and get involved with the club. DM us for any questions or concerns!

We’ll be holding out first meeting on Thursday, September 15th at 8pm in Davidson 101! Come stop by and meet the E-board, learn about the club, and play a round or two of games!

Like to write prose or poetry? Do you like to make art? Font submissions are OPEN! Submit your pieces by Saturday, September 24th at MIDNIGHT to fontmagazine.hofstra@gmail.com Be sure to check out the submissions guidelines! DM us any questions or concerns

Like to read or write? Want to workshop your writing and have it published? Come catch us at the Involvement Fair to learn about Hofstra English Society! We will be on the Intramural Fields on Monday, September 5th, from 1-3pm

Hey new students! Hofstra English Society will be at the School Social on Friday September 2nd at 1pm, on the west side of Bits & Bytes. Come meet us and learn about our writing workshops and literary magazines!

As the semester wraps up, English Society was lucky enough to participate in a volunteer opportunity with @TheBookFairies, a non-profit that helps communities across Long Island and New York City access free books. For more about The Book Fairies, check the link in our bio!

That’s right folks, it’s our last meeting of the semester. But don’t worry! It’s one of our most fun meetings, so come say goodbye to our seniors, and welcome our new e-board members and editorial staff with some wild presentations. Otherwise, we hope to see you next semester!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and said hi during Music Fest 2022, we had so much fun giving out magazines and glitter tattoos! If you missed us, be sure to swing by Davison 101 at 8pm this Thursday for our Powerpoint Party.

Stop by Davison 101 tonight at 8pm for Growl editorial team elections, as well as general executive board elections for HES as a whole! This is a great opportunity to get more involved with the org, and build your resume with leadership roles and editing and design experience.

Come to the Student Center Atrium all this week while we’re tabling! We’ll be handing out our most issues, as well as some past copies. Get some temporary tattoos and learn about our upcoming showcase, plus get more info about Music Fest!
