In May 2025, @__Adewale uploaded a video on X that caught everyone’s attention. It showed a user standing in front of a supermarket pillar, looking at a small sign with account details. Instead of the usual struggle, squinting at the sign, typing a few digits, looking up, and typing again, the user simply opened WhatsApp, snapped a photo of the details, and typed an amount. An AI named Xara read the photo and confirmed the name. The user hit confirm, and that was it. Payment was successful within seconds.

Not sure how to explain this properly, but the people who eventually become Superteam members usually never have to ask how to become one. They show up consistently, contribute, build relationships, help others, ship things, and naturally become part of the ecosystem over time. It’s less of an application process and more of a reflection of sustained contribution. Hard to explain, but you can always tell.

When you build a product or protocol and are serious about it, you will eventually need a security audit. But almost everyone never talks about what happens between audits. You ship your code, wait weeks for a firm's review, pay tens of thousands of dollars, get a report, fix the findings, and then keep building. New features roll out. Code changes. But your audit report is stuck in time with a codebase that has moved on to greater heights. This is to say that traditional audits are point-in-time snapshots that tell you where you stood on the day the auditors looked into your code. ...and that is the problem @VaultMindAI was built to solve. 🧵

I’m a fast learner, so I thought building an issue tree would take a few hours at most. Much to my chagrin, it took me two days. Although a perfect issue tree is a tall order, I wanted mine to be effective and highly functional, so I kept iterating. As it turns out, building an issue tree isn’t exactly sexy.  It requires you to think critically and is far more complex than it appears on the surface, largely because: >An error in the first three branches corrupts every subsequent node. >Maintaining the MECE standard requires constant, intense focus. >You have to strip away your own biases and stop chasing a preferred answer whilst building. Don’t get me wrong though, I'm not complaining. The critical thinking bit is the fun part about building it.  And oh, I did great in the assessment as usual 🤭

You are not in control of what other people do... But you are in control of what you can do. And sometimes, the best thing to do is not to do anything. Time, most often than not, wins at the end.

I’ve seen Superteam Leads exit and their communities continue to function, grow, and contribute meaningfully to the Solana ecosystem; Turkey being one example. That’s the entire point of ecosystem building. The goal is not to create a cult of personality around one individual. It’s to build systems, culture, distribution, and leadership pipelines strong enough to outlive any single person. As much as ignorant people like to downplay the importance of communities, if you’re building an ecosystem, never fade them. Communities help with distribution, education, onboarding, support, retention, feedback loops, grassroots adoption, local partnerships, and discovering the next generation of founders, operators, creators, and developers. The strongest ecosystems are the ones with the most empowered people, not the ones with the loudest leaders.

There's so many interesting things to do, to pursue. I was speaking with @Adedamolajoke and explaining to her that there were so many niches that I have on my radar and confused on what to explore or lock in, and she goes: no need to box yourself 😅 I will talk about validators and staking, stablecoins, financial risk and contagion, quant, and everything else I find interesting. I'd let the tide guide me.

Submission is not the end. In many ways, it’s the beginning. Now is the time to get active on socials, post consistently, build in public, gather feedback aggressively, get your first 100 users and start iterating toward PMF. The teams that win long term are the ones that keep shipping after the submission deadline.

We didn’t take on any sponsors for Startup Village Nigeria 2.0. We wanted it to remain founder-focused and intimate. But we’re now opening up sponsorship conversations for Solana Summit Africa 2026 happening in August. Solana Summit Africa is our flagship ecosystem event; bringing together the Nigerian Solana ecosystem and some of the most active builders, founders, developers, creators, operators, fintech leaders, and onchain users across the continent for a full day of conversations, networking, product showcases, and ecosystem announcements. If you’re building on Solana, have integrated Solana into your product, or you’re looking to get your company in front of thousands of highly active Solana natives and the broader African crypto ecosystem, this is the room you want to be in. Reach out to me or @thisis_monarch.
