The hiring space is completely broken and in continuation to what @0xwillthetrill posted few days back here are heart-to-heart lessons from someone who’s been job hunting for the past few weeks: > Not everyone is hiring for what they post. 80% are just engagement farming, and on LinkedIn it gets to 90%. > Recruiters are your best friends until they are referred to you by someone and most of them still won’t respond or already have their favourite candidates. > Never undersell yourself. I had a recruiter tell me I needed experience in top 200 CMC companies then offered me a role for $1k/month. > Reaching out to literally everyone you know is better than applying to 100+ jobs daily. > Please, for God’s sake, don’t apply for a Business Development role when literally every experience on your resume contradicts the job requirements. > Thinking you fulfil the requirements in a job posting doesn’t matter unless you have proof to back it up. > DON’T MAKE YOUR RESUME LONGER THAN 1 PAGE. This space isn’t older than 5–6 years; all your relevant experience can fit on a one-page resume. > Add proof of work, links to stats you mention, partnership posts, case studies, etc. Keep these in mind, and if you need any help, my DMs are open. I still haven’t found anything that tickles my balls. I thought I had, but I decided to reject that offer and look for something more concrete since I’m searching for something long-term.
