As you may know, I stutter. So, two days ago, I coordinated a large press conference, and as one of the speakers (an older woman) read her speech, I noticed she stuttered too. I was elated to find someone just like me. Later, I wanted to do a documentary interview with her...

Turning away from God is such a common experience, So we must not relent in consistent repentance. Sometimes, it's not even about the bad and evil sin. It may be about our fears and anxieties that steal the consciousness of God from our minds. Or maybe the vanities of life that take our attention and affection away from the eternal and towards the mundane. We all drift in different measures for different reasons, but no matter how far we have strayed, we can all always return to God! And we should do that now!

Put a hard stop to everything and pray if you have not done so in a while, and find a way to integrate such hard stops into your schedule. One of the worst mistakes is thinking you must be in a bad state before you pray. Prayerlessness itself is already a spiritually vulnerable state for anyone who has any care for his soul. Because once you are left without the gracious restraint of the spirit of God which erodes slowly in the absence of true fellowship, you will descend into rebellion until you reject God.

If you are struggling with lust, you need to take self-discipline seriously and intentionally feed your soul with the Word of God. That struggle is real. I’ve been there before. There was a time I battled with impure thoughts and didn’t even understand where they were coming from. I could just be sitting quietly, minding my business, and suddenly images would flash through my mind. Before I knew it, the thoughts would begin to grow. But I overcame it through the Word of God. I filled my mind with Scripture. Over time, those thoughts lost their power. I also became more disciplined about what I allowed my eyes to see and what I exposed myself to. What you consistently feed grows. What you consistently starve dies. When you guard your eyes and fill your heart with God’s truth, freedom becomes possible.📌

In as much as this post has a funny undertone to it, there’s a very serious issue generally on how female doctors are treated even in big 2026. It comes from patients, relatives, and even fellow health professionals. The honest fact is that Medicine doesn’t have any gender. It is based mostly on the aptitude of the person. It has nothing to do with being an “authority figure,” which is what a lot of people have wrongly attached to the role of a doctor. In fact, modern medicine is a female-dominated field. Yet somehow, female doctors are still having to “prove” they are doctors to very ignorant people. They get asked questions their male colleagues are never asked. They get spoken to with unnecessary condescension. They get mistaken for nurses, pharmacists, or “the doctor’s assistant” even when they introduce themselves clearly. Some patients will literally look past them and ask, “Where is the real doctor?” And sometimes the most painful part is that it doesn’t only come from patients. It comes from colleagues too. The subtle undermining, second-guessing. The way instructions are questioned until a male doctor repeats the exact same thing. And that is the irony. Because in Medicine, competence has no gender. Knowledge has no gender. Skill has no gender. Calmness under pressure has no gender. A good doctor is a good doctor. And a bad doctor is a bad doctor. But most parts of our society still carry an old stereotype that authority must come with a deep voice, broad shoulders, and a male title. That mindset is outdated. And honestly, it is dangerous. Because when people refuse to trust a female doctor simply because she is female, they are not just being sexist. They are delaying their own care. They are risking outcomes. They are gambling with their own health. And to such people, please and please wake up and smell the coffee; it’s 2026!!!

Sometimes I hate practicing in low resource settings because you know what to do to help a patient but you can’t even do anything. We do not hate our government enough.

I translated this into English for everyone to read. This is written by an orthopedic surgeon colleague in Spain, but I know my American colleagues will appreciate the text an similarities to challenges we face here 1/ The Asymmetry in Medicine in Spain: Responsibility Without Authority (I) Opinion Francisco J. Guitián Lema The Asymmetry in Medicine in Spain: Responsibility Without Authority (I) “There is irrefutable empirical proof of this asymmetry: the doctor can replace anyone; no one can replace the doctor,” states Francisco J. Guitián Lema, a Vigo-based traumatologist specializing in orthopedic surgery There is a truth so elementary that it feels uncomfortable to state it: a hospital exists solely and exclusively to cure the sick. It is not there to provide jobs or to justify organizational charts. Nor to feed bureaucracies or to experiment with organizational theories. It exists so that a sick human being leaves it less sick or, at the very least, having received the best possible treatment. From this premise follows a logical consequence that the Spanish healthcare system seems determined to ignore: in that healing process, there are only two absolutely indispensable figures. The patient, who is the reason for the entire structure’s existence, and the doctor, who possesses the knowledge to guide that process. Everything else — and this is not disdain, but taxonomy — is support structure. Necessary, valuable, often heroic, but auxiliary. The doctor is the only professional capable of performing the core act that justifies the hospital’s existence: diagnosing the disease and establishing the treatment. Without a diagnosis, there is no possible direction. Without a therapeutic indication, there is no meaningful action. An orderly transports the patient, but it is the doctor who determines where and why. A nurse administers medication, but it is the doctor who decides which, how much, and when. A technician performs a test, but it is the doctor who orders it and interprets its result. This functional hierarchy is not a social convention or an inherited privilege: it is a direct consequence of training. Six years of medical school plus four or five years of MIR specialization produce a professional capable of integrating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and a thousand other disciplines into a diagnostic synthesis that no other healthcare professional is trained to perform. There is irrefutable empirical proof of this asymmetry: interchangeability. A doctor can, in case of need, perform the functions of any other hospital professional. They can push a stretcher, insert an IV line, draw blood, take vital signs — in Germany, doctors routinely perform these functions. The reverse is not true. An orderly cannot diagnose pneumonia. A nurse cannot order a surgical intervention. The doctor can replace anyone; no one can replace the doctor. Recognizing this reality does not imply disdain toward anyone. Nursing care is essential. The orderly’s work ensures that hospital flow does not stop. Everyone deserves respect and fair compensation. But respect for personal dignity cannot be confused with functional equivalence. In an operating room, the surgeon is not worth more as a human being than the assistant; but their function is irreplaceable in a way that the assistant’s is not. This distinction, obvious in any other field, has become taboo in Spanish healthcare. The prevailing egalitarianism has managed to make an evident functional truth be perceived as a moral offense.

ISWAP raided another Christian village, killing 11 "hostile" Christians, destroying a church and over 100 houses and capturing their properties, this is the first time ISWAP refers to a group of Christians as being "hostile" following ISCAP using this same wording recently.

ISWAP claims to have attacked the Christian village of Timboa, in Adamawa state in northeast Nigeria on Friday, where they killed four Christians, destroyed 50 houses and three motorcycles and captured five others, perhaps ISWAP is trying to take the attention away from Sokoto?
