We have been investigating what will happen to the gingerbread men when we put them in different liquids. We observed the changes and recorded what we saw.

We really enjoyed our story time both inside and outside.

We have been using the language long, longer, longest and short, shorter, shortest to describe the length of objects and pictures.

We love writing and mark making in continuous provision.

We really enjoyed making music in continuous provision with our friends. We try to keep to the beat and change the tempo.

We have been following instructions in the home corner to make gingerbread men.

In Talk for Writing we have been learning the actions to the story ‘The Gingerbread Man.’ We have been creating our own story maps and labelling them.

We really enjoyed making different bridges out of different materials for the gingerbread man so he did not get wet.

As Spring is upon us we have been using different materials to create observational pictures of different flowers.

We have been looking at maps. We looked at landmarks in our classroom and played a fun game to find items hidden under landmarks in class. Some of us wanted to make our bedrooms at home using boxes and other recycled materials.

We have been exploring 3D shapes both inside and outside.

When we came into school today look what we discovered.

In Talk for Writing we learnt instructions for how to make a gingerbread man. We then followed the instructions to make our own.

As we approach Easter time we have been discussing how Lent is a time for us to grow and be a better person. We spoke about what love is and how we can show love towards each other. We made friendship bracelets to show we care for one another.

We really enjoyed sharing books with our friends and families today for World Book Day.

We tried very hard to innovate the story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt.’
