✨DID YOU KNOW?  Before oil dominated our economy, Chief Timothy Adeola Odutola built an industrial empire so massive that he single-handedly established Nigeria’s first indigenous gold mining, textile, and tyre manufacturing factories completely from scratch. Starting out in the 1920s as a humble court clerk in Ijebu-Ode, Odutola quit his government job after realizing that true leverage lay in local production, not colonial administration. He entered the cocoa and palm oil markets, but instead of just exporting raw goods, he did something radical for his era: he re-invested his profits into local manufacturing. By the 1950s and 60s, he had built massive tyre-treading and rubber factories across Nigeria, proving that local corporate intellect could rival foreign giants.  What other forgotten Nigerian industrial pioneers inspire you?
