@222lmc @DundeeCouncil @BlacknessPS @ChrisLawSNP @EducationScot To be clear, between the last day of P7 and the first day of attendance of S1, a child is not currently attending a school. It is one of the named exemptions to the need for consent to withdraw in the Guidance.

"Child Protection" in the family home is completely different from "Safeguarding" in a professional setting. Parents are criminalised and "professionals" are protected... That has GOT to change. Protect children in ALL settings from abuse IN LAW otherwise nothing will change!

How words change the meaning. Our children are not only educated at home, there is so much to take part in within our network and a wide variety of #groups for different #interests. Getting a day at home can be challenging some weeks! #Homeeducate' means we educate #everywhere

Are you the teacher? What do you teach? Who tells you what to teach? We don't 'teach' and #learning isn't categorised in lessons. We do however #facilitate ongoing learning in many ways. Each #family decides what is best for their own #child depending on how they learn best.

Attended a school meeting to support a parent who felt she had no voice. She was contemplating home schooling. Mum came into the meeting distressed & left with a smile on her face with hope for the future @ENABLEScotland @SDSScot @InspScotlandSDS @SG_SDSPolicy
